- Business Manager- Leah Polanski-With a Master of Business Administration, extensive leadership experience in finance, operations, and community-based organizations, and a strong background in education, I bring the skills needed to support the district’s mission while ensuring transparency, compliance, and fiscal accountability. In my current role as Founder and Director of the North Valley Jags Basketball Club, I oversee all financial operations of a nonprofit youth program, including budgeting, payroll, vendor contracts, and compliance reporting. I have successfully built partnerships with local businesses and organizations to expand resources and opportunities—experience that translates directly to Canon’s commitment to strong community ties. As President of the Boulder Creek High School Basketball Booster Club, I manage budgets, donor funds, and procurement processes while serving as liaison between coaches, families, and school administrators. My ability to create financial reports, track spending, and align resources with goals has strengthened donor engagement and organizational efficiency. These experiences mirror the responsibilities of overseeing district finances, developing reporting systems, and supporting board transparency. Additionally, my years as a faculty member in higher education have honed my analytical, organizational, and compliance skills. I have served on committees for curriculum, policy, and student success, always ensuring that resources are used effectively to meet institutional goals. Combined with my MBA training in business operations and data-driven decision making, I am prepared to manage payroll, purchasing, accounting, and budgeting functions for the district. Canon Elementary School’s values of integrity, respect, empathy, inquisitiveness, and accountability resonate deeply with me. I am eager to contribute these values in service to your students, staff, and community while maintaining strong financial and operational systems.
